Path of Exile Item Upgrading
In Path of Exile, item upgrading is one of the most effective ways to upgrade your equipment without relying on large-ticket drops or trade. This article will teach you how to upgrade your items.
Upgrades to equipment provide a bonus on the item's stats. This bonus scales according to the rarity and level of the upgrade component.
Components
Upgrade components can make your armour and weapons better. You can find them by destroying enemies, purchasing them from karma vendors, or finding them in the form of item-spheres. They can also be salvaged from equipment that contains them, or by utilizing a high-tier salvage kit like the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components are not destroyed by removing them from the item.
Upgrade components are primarily used to upgrade an item, however, they can also be used for other reasons. They can be used to increase the quality of an item that can be upgraded or they can be used to boost the experience gained when upgrading an existing weapon or piece of gear. They can be forged for additional benefits. For example, a crafted glyph will boost the upgrade chance of its target, whereas an upgrade boost will enhance the defense or attack quality of a weapon or armor.
You can bind an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will display the upgrade components to which the item can be updated. You can also use the workbench for selecting an upgrade template. In either case, the item will be upgraded after enough upgrade components have been gathered.
Each component is assigned an experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item will gain when upgraded with that component. Organic components, for instance, have a higher multiplier of experience than mechanical components. It is therefore recommended to upgrade using organic components until you reach the multiplier of experience for the next level of the equipment or weapon, and then switch to mechanical upgrades.
In addition to the experience multiplier Each item also comes with a maximum number of upgrades it can receive. The number of upgrades is determined by the upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade for the upgradeable item. For instance, the most expensive possible weapon upgrade is a weapon of tier 10. However, the most common upgrades for weapons are an tier 6 weapon as well as an armor upgrade of tier 5.
Sets
A set is a set of items that share the same bonus. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least once and the upgrade will increase its guaranteed bonuses. The first time you upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. After subsequent upgrades, the primary stats are boosted even further (for instance +1 for 12+/13+/14+) and every time an item is upgraded, one of its additional stats is increased randomly.
Upgrades can also boost the base damage of a weapon. This can be crucial for certain builds. Weapons cannot be upgraded for greater maximum defence rolls than their base. Upgrading can be a good option to increase the value of certain sets and unique items, but it's important to remember that they might not be better than a high-level runeword in any build.
If you are upgrading an item with a bonus, the item can be rerolled a single time, and its guarantee will reset to zero. Rerolling will cost the same amount of power dice as bringing an item, however the new item will have additional bonuses. The NPC [Armor] Boboko can upgrade your armor in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item you will need the appropriate amount Minerals and Erons and a power dice of each kind. These can be purchased with Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also offer an additional reward for every tier that is completed of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled a second time and the reroll will be made using the same materials as the first item.
Rerolling
A player is able to roll any item they have acquired in the game provided they have enough tokens. If an item is rerolled, it will be replaced by an equivalent level 1 version from another set. Reroll tokens are sold in the store for a small sum of in-game currency. They are non-refundable. The new upgraded item will still come with the extra bonuses of the original one however, its stats will be different too.
In addition to rerolling items, players can also alter the identification of any equipment by interfacing with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identification from a weapon to an armor or reverse it. The base requirements and stats remain the same. The change will be permanent and affect all characters who have the gear.
The player can also upgrade their level of an item for any equipment that is equipped. This can be done by engaging with an upgrader NPC, and then obtaining upgrade components. The cost of upgrading will depend on the upgrade track, item type and the number of crests. In the case of weapons, each step up will add 5percent to the damage.
Upgrading an item can boost its power however, it can also lower its quality. Therefore, it is crucial to strike a balance between the two. Certain items aren't worth upgrading, while other items require upgrades to make them more effective. A player may want to upgrade breakpoint armor with an interesting modification ( percent block chance, or FHR) in order to see what else it can be.

The primary reason why people are able to reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is because they are trying to get a specific character or weapon that they can't otherwise obtain. These items can be time-consuming and expensive to acquire and the RNG doesn't always play nice. The only alternative is to invest money or grind extensively. Rerolling is a popular feature in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can choose whether to upgrade the weapon or armor after upgrading an item. This feature isn't available in the current version of the game. I believe it was intended to to give some value to rare items, but because the majority of gear drops quickly and is only upgraded once you've reached a certain level it is likely that you will replace the item before it gets too old. It's not worth it to level items that have gem sockets as the power of the gem will far outweigh the increase in ilvl with the upgrade.
When you click on the upgrade option on an item, you'll see a small window with the upgrade template for the item and the cost of crest and Valorstone to increase the level of the item. Weapons and armor will have different prices, with the latter usually being more expensive. The upgrade template outlines the statistics that will be added to the upgraded item. It will also list its current base ilvl.
website link of the Valorstone and the crest is calculated based on the current Ilvl of the item as well as the upgrade templates. The ilvl is also reduced by the upgrade templates reduction percentage of lvl. For instance weapons with an 8% upgrade decrease will reduce its value by 8-8 percent.
In addition to the base ilvl boost, the item will also get upgrades in other stats such as critical strike damage, damage from PvE and block, parry and dodge rating. These increases are also based off the upgrade template.
In the upgrade template, you can determine the amount of damage or defense the item will receive after it is leveled up. item upgrader is shown below the cost and upgrade percentages. In addition to practice equipment, all items and armor get the same stats when they are upgraded. The value of these additional stats will be dictated by the market, with a perfectly rolled piece of armor or weapon able to command much more in trade value than unupp'd versions. Similar is the case for other pieces of armor, such as tiaras and circlets.
